Canoeing There are miles of beautiful shoreline to explore when canoeing on the lake. The Mabel Lake Resort offers a map of interesting sites to explore as you take your journey. The Shuswap River is a great experience for the canoeing adventurer. However; caution must be taken! Start your canoeing adventure below the chucks, anything above that is for only the most experienced kayaker and should not be attempted in a canoe. Your guide or local marina personnal will assist you in launching at the proper starting point. Kayaking For the daring adventurer, the Shuswap River is loved by kayakers. The "Chucks" are for the very skilled only as these are considered to be among the best in the Okanagan. There is plenty of river below the chucks for the less experienced to explore and hone their skills.   Walking Hiking With the natural beauty of the area so close at hand and a variety of hiking trails and roads to explore, you only have to take a moment to step into nature and discouver the wonders of this pristine area.
